About Me

From Kerala
to Cottbus —
a story of data

I'm Ayyappadas VK, a mathematician turned data scientist from the backwaters of Kerala, India. Mathematics once intimidated me — until I made it my identity. I became a top scorer, and that transformation defined everything that followed.

After graduating in mathematics from Mahatma Gandhi University, I joined HDFC Bank as a banking professional, where I discovered the power of data in real financial systems. But the academic pull was strong — I packed up and moved to Cottbus, Germany to pursue an MSc in Mathematical Data Science at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg.

The Real Story

Growing up in Kerala, I was drawn to motorcycles, photography, and stories. I believe the best data work is like a great photograph — it captures truth in a single frame. I bring that creative instinct into every model, every dashboard, every line of code I write. I speak three languages, survived a German winter, and still can't stop building things.
